On Tuesday, Dobele and Stende exceeded the July 17 record for maximum atmospheric temperatures, according to information gathered by the Latvian Center for the Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
The air temperature at Stende was +29.6 degrees, while at Dobele the thermometer was +30.5 degrees.
In the afternoon, the temperature in Latvia was warmer than +27 degrees, the highest temperature recorded in Pavilosta. In the center of Riga, the temperature rose to +30.8 degrees.
