IKEA, a Swedish furniture wholesaler, invites buyers who have purchased the Sundvik turntable to verify that the folding surface is secure with the supplied latches. LETA was informed by Renata Dante, Public Relations Manager at IKEA in the Baltic States.

She pointed out that if the surface is not fixed, people are welcome to do it. But if the locks are gone, IKEA can get new ones for free. In order to receive the relevant details, buyers do not need to produce check or any other purchase document.

Dante said that IKEA was broadcasting such a call because of information about three cases in Europe, when babies fell out of the Sundvik trading table because the surface was not stable. In all these cases, the security locks were not used according to the instructions.

She explained that customers sometimes tended to use the "Sundvik" exchange table as a foldable exchange table and not to use the security locks as shown.

The LETA Agency has already announced the opening of the international brand of furniture and household goods IKEA "IKEA" in Riga on August 30, 2018. The size of the IKEA store in Riga is 34,500 square meters and its area is 10 hectares. The total investment in the creation of the IKEA store in Latvia has risen to more than 50 million euros.
