Over the years, threats and warnings have come to an end and former non-payers will remain without driving rights in August, LNT News reported on Sunday.

The administration of the Maintenance Guarantee Fund adopted the first decision in June to impose a realistic restriction on the right to drive. Since decisions are made almost daily, they have already reached the age of 16, says the program

"Decisions were sent, which means that they were notified. […] There is a date limit for appeals in the month.the registry chief will find that the ban will already be in good physical shape, "said Linda Sparane, head of the legal department of administration, in the LNT News.

The administration plans to punish the largest debtors as the first. At present, the highest debt for non-payment of long-term child support payments for several children exceeds 60,000 euros. However, the number of decisions will increase, as already a hundred notifications have already been sent to debtors who can still provide their explanations within 20 days. If they are not convincing, the decision-making process will be followed. In general, the number of unpaid accounts may exceed four, five thousand over time.

Politicians have been allowed by law to impose a driving ban since April of last year, however, a warning period of almost a year has begun. LNT stated that the goal was justified because the number of debtors holding a valid driver's license decreased from one year to the next. 8,410 to 5,128 in February this year. More than 3,000 debtors have started to pay and 315 other debtors have entered into debt repayment agreements.

However, it is only a part of the debtors whose total number has multiplied over several years and exceeds 38 000.
