Similarly, neither the CPCB nor the prosecutor's office revealed, in the interest of the investigation, the importance of corrupt figures in certain cases known to the public, for example in the purchase of "Rīgas satiksme ". In this context, the total actual amount could be much higher. Medijos said that in the case of "Rīgas satiksme", the purchase of bribes could cost several million euros.

At the beginning of last year, the KNAB arrested the President of the Bank of Latvia (LB), Ilmārs Rimšēvičs, as well as the businessman Maris Martinsons. The case was then returned to the Attorney General's office. Rimšēvičs has been charged with corruption and Martinson for supporting corruption.

The KNAB opened this case after the submission of the two shareholders of AS "Trasta komercbanka" (TKB). The two shareholders in the case file appear as bribes, but they are exempt from criminal liability because they voluntarily contacted the law enforcement authorities to inform them of the event.

The prosecutor's office believes that one of the shareholders had already asked Rimšēvičs, in 2010, to provide badistance in cases related to the Financial Markets and Capital Commission (FCMC), in exchange for his holiday offer paid to Kamchatka. In 2012, however, this shareholder, as well as another, repeatedly contacted Rimšēviča to ask for help regarding other issues related to the FCMC. As payment, Rimšēvičs claims 500 000 euros, which will be paid in two stages: one before and after the decision of the FCMC.

The prosecutor's office considers that Mr Rimšvičs has not fully complied with his requirements. Only the first tranche of 250,000 euros has been paid. The prosecutor explains that Martinson played an intermediary role in this criminal offense by receiving 10% of the total bribes.

Earlier this year, the KNAB was prosecuted for prosecuting SIA prosecutors "Rezeknes namsaimnieks" for demanding and accepting an illegal benefit of 1,700 euros.

The total loss suffered by the State in this case amounts to EUR 55,573, estimated by the KNAB. The prosecutor's office lodged a complaint in this case.

As is apparent from the computer graphics published by the KNAB, four different episodes of criminal offenses have been committed in this case. In one of them, the head of the educational institution signed a document stating that the service was not received. In another episode, the director of the institution, her parent and one of the employees made the driver 's parent in the car six times fuller of gasoline, possibly from the car. educational institution. In a similar episode, the fuel is refilled once in the car of an employee. On the other hand, it appears from the visual character of the fourth episode that the head of the management of the hotel-service and her relative received unused rooms in the hotel-service.

handed a portion of the bribe to the administrator – 1500 euros.

The KNAB estimates that the state budget suffered a loss of 28,989 euros when it employs potentially fictitious employees.

The KNAB estimates that the troika from the state budget has scammed 612,681 euros.

Last November, the KNAB Green and Farmers Union (ZZS) and the party "Heart of Latvia" (NSL) reportedly asked Jurmala Mayor Gati Truksne and entrepreneur Julia Krumina to fund it illegally. The charges were brought against these two people and other people. In this case, the total amount of illegal donations is approximately EUR 85 000.

At the end of the year, the office also asked a Russian citizen to be offered a bribe of more than a million euros to a police officer. State (VP). On November 9, a Russian citizen gave a bribe of 85,000 euros to a vice-president. After the delivery of the bribe, the person was arrested and then arrested.

At the end of the year, the Bureau also asked the prosecution to initiate criminal proceedings against the former chairman of the board of the Administration of the Maintenance Agency. Latvian roads, Vladimir Kononov, the former head of the LAU procurement department, Anastasia Udalov, and another LAU official.

The KNAB considers that the two women did not respect their homework and "did not notice" the difference between the draft contract approved by the council and the contract established. It is clear from the KNAB infographics that the chairman of the LAU board at that time signed a contract with a legal entity that did not comply with the project approved by the board. Similarly, the KNAB considers that the company has delivered a purchase object at the price indicated in the tender – EUR 277 487. As a result, the state budget suffered losses of 277,487 euros.

In several cases investigated by the KNAB and reported to the prosecutor last year, even the approximate amounts are not known at this time. Similarly, in other cases, the amounts of corrupt money are not defined directly.

In December, the KNAB announced the opening of criminal proceedings related to three purchases of "Rīgas satiksme". In criminal proceedings, bribery of public officials and money laundering are the subject of an investigation. In this case, seven people were arrested, including the former chairman of the board of directors of the company, Leon Bemhens, and businessman Maris Martinsons.

"TV3" show "Nothing personal" reported that for every trolley, bus and tram delivered to Riga, an average of 5 to 7% was paid in bribes. The total sum of the three purchases exceeding 270 million euros, 13 to 20 million euros could be paid in the form of bribes.

As part of this survey, KNAB cooperated with the Polish Anti-Corruption Service (CBA). Based on the information provided by the KNAB, the CBA has started its criminal proceedings. The KNAB pointed out that the € 800,000 bribe issued by the CBA is a provisional estimate identified by the CBA.

In addition, at the end of the year, the KNAB encouraged the District Attorney's Office of the Court of Latgale to initiate criminal proceedings against 23 persons in connection with the sale of official language certificates. Among these are three employees of the National Curriculum Center for Education (VISC). The Bureau has asked them to take legal action for unlawful protest and acceptance, as well as to give the opportunity to legally acquire the right to reside in Latvia. The Office and the Office of the Prosecutor do not currently disclose the type and amount of benefits received.

However, at the end of December, the KNAB proposed to the public prosecutor 's office to institute proceedings against the influence of the entrepreneur Julius Krumins, the entrepreneur and former basketball player Valdis Valter and the l'. contractor Harald Balod. The KNAB believes that in exchange for "badistance", the representatives of a legal person have pledged to Krumins shares in a legal entity.
