The lost mbad is not dark matter (yet another puzzle of the universe), but a completely normal and ordinary matter that scientists simply can not find. This is what annoys astronomers so much. Certainly, a team of scientists might have approached a solution of lost material.
"If we find this lost mbad, we will have solved one of the biggest astrophysical puzzles. But where exactly did the universe hide so much matter? "Said the researchers.
In this study, astronomers wanted to examine one of the most popular theories, namely that the lost mbad lies in the hot gas fibers that fill the intergalactic space. These fibers are very difficult to study because the telescopes are unable to record these structures.
Therefore, astrophysicists have turned to quasar (star-shaped active galaxy with very intense radiation in the radio wave range) for research on H1821 + 643 as they emit a powerful X-ray signal. Assuming that the lost mbad actually resides in the gas fibers, this signal should be tilted. In principle, the researchers concluded that this signal could be used as a powerful tool to regain lost mbad.
Using this method, scientists have found 17 different fibers that hide a certain amount of lost material. The study was published in the scientific journal "The Astrophysical Journal".
