14. The centenary of the Swedish writer, playwright, filmmaker and director Ingmar Bergman will be celebrated in July and, in the honor of the master, the Baltic Pearl Festival will present his latest "Big Fanie and Alexander", which will be presented in the program "Cinema Clbadics" September 19
"Fanie and Alexander" is one of Bergman's feature films. In total, she won four Oscars, the Golden Globes, the British Academy of Music Award for BAFTA, the highest honors of France, Italy, Great Britain and Sweden, won the Venice Film Festival and was recognized by critics as one of the best movies of the year. The history of cinema is presented to the eyes of two children – Faniya and Alexandra. Their reverie, their excitement and their anxiety are restored by the "waves of their own memory," in which the facts undoubtedly coexist with vengeance and magic, but the imaginary world and reality come together. The film details in detail not only the pbading atmosphere but also the long and irrepressible emotionally wonderful childhood lost
The "Baltic Pearl" projection will also be a unique event, as the film is a 35 millimeter cinema. Since they were not even in Europe, they were not even written in their home country, at the Swedish Film Institute, the festival agreed to host the American Film Institute – the organizer of the Oscars award ceremony. The department department responsible for preserving, restoring and keeping all the Oscars and receiving the winners' films only allows the use of one of their cinemas as it is confirmed that a copy of the film of interest can not be obtained from other sources.
Tickets are already available in sales offices "Biļešu servisa" and on the Internet
