There is no competition in the field of automotive technical inspection in Latvia, but this should not be the case. The Competition Council (CP) invites the responsible authorities to open the market, which is currently under the control of the Directorate of Road Traffic (CSDD), and also includes the automotive service centers.
The KP's conclusions on the automotive technical inspection market in Latvia are not flattering: competition is distorted, development is threatened, there is a risk of violation of the standards of the European Union (EU).
