The company Orkla Latvia has installed equipment brand "Laima" zephyr "Maigums" for automatic packaging and weight control package of 200 grams, investing 333,000 euros in this development project, informed the director of communication of the company, Lineta Mikša.
"This investment project aims both to improve the efficiency of production and to improve the quality of the work environment and to combat the shortage of staff," Miksa said.
She also informed that in 2018, more than 630 tons of zefir "Laima" "Maigums" had been produced. The Laima product range now includes more than 200 different chocolate confectioneries exported to more than 30 countries, including Germany, Israel, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, the United States, Canada and Belarus.
As reported, the Norwegian company Orkla acquired NP Foods in August 2014, and in October it decided to merge NP Foods, AS Laima, AS Staburadze and AS Latfood into a company called SIA. Orkla Confectionery and Snacks Latvia, but the companies SIA "Spilva" and JSC "Gutta" were merged to form a company called "Orkla Foods Latvia".
