In August, for the first time in Latvia, there will be a world championship of sporting orientation, where 42 countries have confirmed their willingness to start, the organizers informed Wednesday. Currently, almost all the best landmarks in the world have arrived in Latvia to participate in team selection competitions in Limbazi and Ligatne from July 6th to 8th.

339 athletes, 184 men and 155 women, have been nominated for the World Championship, which will take place from August 4th to 12th. Most countries have not yet set up teams, so selection competitions will be held in Latvia. 251 players from 26 countries will participate in the selection of the team, including the world's best leaders, including world ranking leader, Norwegian Olav Lundaness, and his closest rivals, Switzerland's Mathias Kiburcs and Daniel Hubman.
