However, horticultural experts warn that pests are also active because of a particular spring, and it may not be easy to fight with them.

Environmentalists at the Latvian Nature Fund stress that insects and other opportunities play an important role in nature. If there were no insects, a lot of important natural processes would be left out, so we can say that people depend on insects.

One of the well-known roles of insects is pollination. Most of the plants without the help of insects would not be able to produce seeds or fruits successfully. In Europe, about 30% of pollen blossoms are insects. Pollinators are bees, drones, beetles, flies, butterflies and other insects. Ants also pollinate flowers. In addition, they also distribute plant seeds, thus improving the diversity of the environment. Insects also participate in processes of erosion and soil degradation, destruction of dead parts of plants. Insects, fighting against their natural enemies, other insects, help us to deal with pests. And, of course, insects are also food for fish and birds. However, there are insects that annoy garden owners during the season when it is important to harvest.

Agronomist expert Maris Narvils, the oldest agronomist at the Latvian Education and Rural Advisory Center, believes that this year is a dry season. pest infestation. In May, when the days and nights were exceptionally hot, an environment very conducive to pest development appeared. Thus, a large number of pests are followed by others – some grazing, while others are suckers. It should also be remembered that the rapid development of the life cycle of pests leads to the maximum possible number of generations, which also modifies their behavior. In pheromone traps, it has already been observed that apple-tin continuously flies and drowns eggs, which is not a normal phenomenon.
