Saturday, November 24, a first comedy in Latgale "Auditor in Sylagh" took place at the Daugavpils Theater, said the representative of the Janina Ivanova Theater at the portal "Delfi".
The story of Nikolai Gogol was adapted by writer and playwright Monika Zile to Latgalian realism, while director Oleg Shapošnikov directed the comedy "Auditor Sylagol". The piece "The Auditor in Sylagh" combines a particular color with the less colored Latgalian mentality and lifestyle, making Gogol's characters more understandable and more comprehensible to the viewer, but no less fun. It should be noted that in the performance, the heroes speak not only in Latin, but also in Latvian, English and Italian, bringing the events of the event closer to the current situation.
Director Oleg Shaposhnikov notes that in his opinion, since Nikolai Gogol wrote the story of "Listener" in 1835, little has changed in the form of the ruling people who use their selfish aims. Although mankind has not been able to change over the years, the comedy "Auditor in Sylagh" can give viewers a good mood and an opportunity to laugh at everything. It should be noted that Gogol also thought that laughter was a powerful weapon, capable, if not destroyed, of weakening at least all the misdeeds of the planet, including the arbitrariness of the officials.
The "Checker at Sylagh" signals a misunderstanding, many of which become a fatal mistake. At the Sylagola County Municipality meeting, it is common knowledge that a recent inspection carried out in the neighborhood revealed several infractions. Local officials panic, knowing that their municipality has sewn everything on white wires. At the same time, two foreigners are housed in a local hotel and board members make a quick decision: to save the situation by sipping the hospitality of Sylagola's mysterious guests, who are definitely dishonored by Brussels officials. On the other hand, somewhat lost and frightened by people in financial difficulty, he is not against such a sincere and generous welcome and decides to yield to local monks.
Playwright Monika Zīle, after the premiere, confided that she was waiting for her with a pleasant excitement: "I am a little worried to see how the text will be presented in the play of actors, but that Was great! The theater in Daugavpils is expensive, but it's already the third show presented in common.Of course, the most attractive were the audience that stands after the show and the comments according to which he has not smiled so much for a long time. "The audience was also impressed by the musical performances of Repera Bruolan, the folk ensemble Rūžeņa and Roberto Meloni, who enriched the performances of a particular atmosphere. .
The actor Jānis Jarāns (mayor of Sylagola municipality) and Roberto Meloni (flirist) perform the main roles in the play "Auditor Sylagol". In other roles, theater actors Daugavpils, Maija Korkliša, Zanda Mankopa, Nikolai Gedzjuns, Liga Ivanova, Kristin Veinsteina, Ritvars Gailums, Kursiets Maris, Egils Viļumovs, Inese Ivulane-Mezale and Mikhail Abramov overthrown. The dancers of the Daugavpils theater group also participate in the play.
The production of the scenography and costumes "Auditor Sylagola" was created by the artist Inga Bermaka Apiaha, the lyrics were written by Kristin Weinstein, the light artist – Sergey Vasiliev.
