A month after the launch of the new flagship product "P30 Pro", the Chinese manufacturer announces a new version – less expensive of this model "Lite". The phone has retained a number of big brother qualities, but it also presents notable differences – no less than the price.
This model has a 6.15-inch screen that, unlike the Pro model, has no OLED, but a LCD LTPS type screen with FHD + resolution (2312 x 1080) and a pixel density of 415 dpi.
The phone is powered by the manufacturer's eight-core Kirin 710 processor. It has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of disk space. The capacity can be increased with a microSD card. This is one of the differences with the "Pro" model, which uses NM type memory cards.
As usual, Huawei uses its software "EMUI 9" based on Android P. There is no message yet or this phone will have the new version of Android Q.
In addition, for cameras, the Lite model has significant differences from the Pro. It does not have a zoom camera five times, but the available cameras are not weak. The main camera (wide standard) is equipped with a matrix of 48 megapixels and an aperture of 1.8. Beside him is an ultra-wide camera with eight megapixel matrix and f2.4 aperture. The camera block also includes a boxed camera that the phone uses as depth / distance information to blur the portrait-type photographs as accurately as possible.
Artificial intelligence is used for scene recognition, but unlike the "Pro" model, "Lite" uses a system processor rather than a separate NPU chip.
Selfie camera equipped with 24 megapixels and f2.0. It also has special modes, including interactive frog faces.
With a battery of 3,340 mAh, the P30 Lite promises to run for 21 hours in talk mode and 12 days in standby. The phone comes with a fast charge (but not super fast) that can charge the complete cycle in about 105 minutes.
Unfortunately, the device is not protected from water and dust. The lack of wireless charging is another difference with the Pro model.
Huawei P30 Lite is available for sale this week and the manufacturer's offer is $ 375.
