In the police, complaints about drug trafficking and the presence of regular drug users were triggered by residents of several locations in Bolderaja.
In response to information provided by the people, the police conducted a series of operations. On November 27, a man born in 1969 was arrested by a drug suspect. He was arrested for selling five grams of heroin to Bolderaja.
The information gathered during the investigation show that he had already sold heroin before, which he did with great caution not to be caught.
The suspect usually sold his clients a quantity of drugs sufficient not only for the buyer himself, but also for the subsequent realization.
Police also arrived at a building on November 28, where they arrested a man born in 1989 on suspicion of drug trafficking. He was also arrested by his neighbor in 1987 who had collaborated in the crime. Following the search of the two people and their search at their home, 11 grams of heroin, three cell phones and money, most likely from drug trafficking, were seized.
Both men have common roles in the implementation of the crimes.
All detainees have already been sentenced for drug trafficking and illicit theft.
The court will soon decide on the application of a custodial sentence.
The police encourage citizens to report narcotics and psychotropic substances and illicitly trafficked substances to the nearest police station or 110. Similarly, the places of trafficking can be quickly and easily identified on the interactive map of the Ministry of the Interior: www.ic.iem.gov.lv/gis2/
