The prime minister's candidate said his party, KPV LV, would hold a meeting with the president to deal with the issue of admission to state secrecy. Gobzem believes that there is no democratic situation when a new politician can not hold the post of prime minister or minister, given the necessary tolerance with regard to the probationary period for the receipt of state secrets. Edgar Tavares, a politician from Green and Farmer's Union (ZZS), was less categorical. He argued that ZZS "will not impede" the issue of government meetings in camera, if decisions are explained to the public. The issue of tolerance, however, remains to be resolved, Tavares said.
