Two Russian planes violated Estonian airspace on Monday, July 16, near the island of Vaindl in the Gulf of Finland. The Estonian newspaper Postimees reports that one of the two planes was probably Vladimir Putin himself.
He traveled to Helsinki at that time to attend the historic summit with US President Donald Tramp.
The newspaper states that both planes belong to the Russian state and only steal senior officials. The aircraft transponders were on, but no flight plan was submitted to the responsible service and they did not maintain radio communications with the Estonian air traffic controllers.
The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was summoned by the representative of the Russian Embbady for this incident. Russian planes have already arrived six times this year without authorization in Estonian airspace
