Participation in the process is not a condition – we will reveal the specific abilities and artistic interests of each volunteer. This year, near the Festival Sanssoumi, an active artistic activity will be held two weeks before the festival. From the 6th to the 10th Poet and actor Emanuel Wilsen will visit the residency center at Sanssois in August to animate the master clbades of poetry and writing on "Telling the World".

The theme invites you to look for answers to questions about poetry. The Poetry Workshop will give each participant a glimpse of the fact that each of us has the poet's soul because poetry is also an existence movement and a battle expression in words. The task of the master clbad is to examine methods of writing poetry, recitation methods and other techniques of creative writing in five days (daily work from 4 to 6 hours) to present the results at the weekly festival preparation on Thursday, August 9th. On the other hand, since July 14, 2018, the candidacy for the residence of the artist "Sanssoi" in Susa has been announced . Selected artists will have the opportunity to live and work at the Sansui Residence Center for two weeks (from July 28 to August 10), involving Akniste locals in creating their own creation

Artists have a duty of at least 8 hours to devote a week to cooperation with local people, especially with regard to children and youth of Akniste. At the end of the residency period, the artists will invite Aknīste residents and interested persons from other cities of Latvia to publicly expose the new production (or the stage of the work process). This year, the residence plans to host eight Latvian and foreign artists at the same time. The residence center is supported by the Latvian State Forests supported by the Zemgale Cultural Program 2018 in the project "Social Responsible Art Residence in Sansui"

The "Sansui" Festival in the Akniste County has been held since 2014, and it has gained wide public recognition. It is an interdisciplinary festival of performing arts with a focus on chamber music and an alternative atmosphere. The festival combines carefree nature, friends and family with exquisite chamber music and other genres of performing arts.
