Along the border between Latvia and Belarus, a strip has been started, where it is planned to build a pedestrian control area, patrol the tracks and construct a 130 km fence, except along Daugava and lakes.
Border guards indicate that border guards will move with a quadricycle to the greatest possible border, in some highly displaced sections, through newly created patrol tracks.
The border pits and some steps are also cleaned: Aktica – 9.5 km, Tovša – 2.11 km, border – 2.11 km, Zilupe – 8.31 km
The construction work will last four years and will cost 27.6 million euros
