In coastal areas where 40% of the world's population lives, there are almost no more wilderness areas in the current magazine. Oceans cover 70% of the planet's surface and only 7% of all oceans are protected, but people have been able to significantly affect almost all of this huge ecosystem, said Candela Johnce, director of the study. This is the first systematic study of the world's oceanic wildlife areas, largely unaffected by human intervention, that are important for biodiversity.

"The intact natural areas have a huge level of biodiversity and are among the last places on Earth. Find the predominant predators, "said Johnny.

Most of the untapped areas are in the Arctic and Antarctic territories and around the Pacific Islands.
