Tuesday, Dobele and Stende are overtaken by the peak air temperature record of July 17, according to information collected by the Latvian Center for the Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
The air temperature at Stende was +29.6 degrees, while at Dobele the thermometer was +30.5 degrees.
In the afternoon, the temperature in Latvia was warmer than +27 degrees, the highest temperature recorded in Pavilosta. In the center of Riga, the temperature rose to +30.8 degrees
The national heat record of July 17 belongs to 2010, when the thermometric column of the port of Pavilosta and Ventspils has risen to +33.3 and +33 , 8 degrees respectively. Also in 2001, the glow reached +33 degrees in Latvia.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and warm.
