The aid to migrants was allocated up to 90.5 million euros

The European Commission has approved 90.5 million euros for three new programs to solve the problems of migration and border control in North Africa

Feder Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and security of the European Union (EU) New programs will strengthen EU efforts to control migratory flows in a humane and sustainable way

Programs aim to provide badistance to migrants by fighting against traffickers

55 million euros will be used to help Morocco and Tunisia to better control their borders

This program will be chaired by Italy

Under the second program, 29 million EUR will be allocated to badistance to migrants in Libya and jointly monitored by the United Nations Refugee Agency and (IOM)

The third program provides for 6.5 million euros to help migrants in the worst situation, as stated in the EC communication.
