From July 12 to September 1, the art exhibition "Tautumeitas and Ephthalmuses" is exhibited at the Mukusala Art Salon. The exhibition is devoted to ethnographic images of Latvian art from the early 20th century to the present day.

The changes in society are the most affecting women. The status of a woman changes, and her image begins to embody the spirit of a new age.
The visual image of Tautumeit, whose creation may be related to the social and cultural events of the late nineteenth century (First General Song Festival in 1873) which embodied in beauty and wisdom, gradually becoming a symbol of ideals based on Latvian traditions.
