One of the best trumpeters in the world – the American Tim Hagan, on December 1 at the Riga Art Space at the jazz Jazz Festival, the concert organizers will inform the portal "Delfi".
The saxophonist Denis Paškevičius will perform with her and join one of the best sections of European jazz: Keystroke Carl Winters, percussion instrument Anders Mogensens (both Danish) and bbadist Johnny Aman (Sweden).
Tim Hagan, 64, has been selected three times for the prestigious Grammy Award. This prize was awarded to him through his unique appreciation of contemporary jazz, both as a soloist and as a composer. Especially in his work, two contemporary jazz albums "Animation * Imagination" and "Re-Animation" named for the cover "Grammy" are published, both published in the legendary book Blue Note. Similarly, Tim is clearly illustrated in concert with great musicians from many countries around the world. He also appealed to Denis to attend the "Jazz Room" session in Riga. Together, they will present a program of concerts specially prepared for this event. Hagans will perform for the first time in Latvia.
Nor is there any other way to mingle with Scandinavian jazz, as he has also been artistic director and permanent composer of the Swedish band Norrbotten Big Band for 15 years. He noted that the bigband had created joint programs with world-renowned American jazz stars, such as bbadist Rufus Raid, trumpet Rendy Brecker, drummer Peter Erskin and saxophonist Dave Liebman.
Similarly, Tim Hagan is known as an experimenter not only for jazz, but also for various interdisciplinary fields of art. For example, he specially composed the music and also played with the extravagant American contemporary dance company "Michele Brangwen Dance Ensemble". The Hagan continues to experiment and perform regularly, including the jazz superstar – American saxophonist Joe Lovano, with whom he has also made several albums. Tim is always ready to prove the skills of his fantastic trumpet game to anyone interested. Soon jazz lovers in Latvia will be able to see their presence. There is no doubt that the meetings with local master Denis Paškevičius will guarantee a captivating evening for all those who meet.
Aged 43, Denis Paškevičius is a saxophonist, flutist, composer, producer, professor of contemporary improvisation and jazz music, as well as Riga Hall and artistic director of the international jazz festival "Jazz Room" founded in Latvia for the development of jazz music. He is also the official artist of the French saxophone brand "Marca Reeds", as well as the artistic director of the growing British and Latvian currency "Riga Winds". Denis has participated in more than 50 albums.
