The first direct commercial flight from Seoul, the capital of South Korea, will be hosted at the Riga airport on Friday, May 24, and Laura Karnite, representative of JSC International Airport in Riga, has informed LETA.

The ceremony will take place at 17:55 and is provided by Korean Air.

The flight is organized by one of Korea's largest travel agencies, Hanjin Travel.

It has already been reported that the turnover of the Riga International Airport last year, according to preliminary data, was 60.787 million euros, or 11.3% of more than in 2017, but its profit was multiplied by 2.9 to reach 10,022 million euros. .
