This car from Google Street View is back in Latvia to update the local data on the Google Maps. This time, the Street View car will focus on updating information on intercity routes.
The popular Google Maps Street View feature is currently available in more than 85 countries, as well as in the Arctic and Antarctic. It gives users the opportunity to see images of different streets, as well as objects of cultural and national heritage at 360 degrees. This option is also available on Google Earth and the Google Maps mobile app.
As usual, Google does its best to protect privacy while allowing users to take advantage of the Street View feature. Before publishing aggregated images, they are treated with special technology, hiding people's faces and vehicle registration numbers so that they are not identifiable, thus protecting people's privacy. Street View also offers the option of later taking photos that have been notified as you can by pressing the "Report a problem" button in the lower right corner of any image.
The trip will begin July 25 and will last approximately two months.
