A giant iceberg approached dangerously from a Greenland village, raising fears that it would collapse and reach the village, reports Sky News.
Aisberg is located in the village of Inarsuit, in western Greenland, and 169 villagers were evacuated from their homes early Friday morning due to the threat of flooding. People were evacuated from the coast to a building in the village.
In recent years, earthquakes and tsunamis have caused flooding in Greenland, and experts have warned that, due to climate change, the giant iceberg can become increasingly a threat.
This giant iceberg is detached from the glacier in East Greenland in early June.
