Subgroup A will be supported by the Czech Republic, Austria, Moldova, the Netherlands, Kosovo and Bulgaria. After the group tournament, the national team will continue the fight, entering the semifinals of the top two teams in each group, while competing for the other teams at the lower positions. The Latvian U-18 team is also preparing for the European Championship, and the tournament will run from August 10 to 19 in Tulne (Austria). This team is also led by Arnold Straume.
