The parties want to meet the Wajaias; wants to address Gobzma's tolerance of state secrets – in Latvia

Gobzem himself believes that he should have a wider discussion about the possibilities for new politicians to access state secrets, while other political forces involved in negotiations for the edification of the government indicate that they oppose the reform of the current system of tolerance, because they consider it proportional. Before the meeting with the president, the political forces refrained from predicting what kind of solution would be possible in the conversation.

The prime minister said that the party represented by him, "KPV LV", would hold a meeting with the president to deal with the issue of admission to state secrecy. He stressed that it was not just an issue that concerned him personally, but rather "a potential threat to democracy", given that more than half of the Saeima are young members, against which all can use this type of argument, as against Gobzem, namely that he can not be given the job because of lack of clarity about the possibilities of obtain an authorization for the secrets of the state.

Gobzem believes that there is no democratic situation when a new politician can not hold the post of prime minister or minister, given the necessary tolerance with regard to the probationary period for the receipt of state secrets. A politician is convinced that such a system does not exist in "any country in the world". The voters' decision to appoint their prime minister indicates that everyone, including the security services, must respect democracy, Gobzem said. He stressed that in a democratic society, the management of special services would not participate in public debate.

The politician pointed out that the Latvian special services of May 13th knew that he was the prime minister of KPV LV and that it was possible to carry out due diligence at that time.

Today's talks focused on whether government meetings should be open or closed and on the issue of confidentiality during negotiations. The purpose of the conversation was to pronounce any ambiguous questions, presenting their vision to the participants in the conversation.

KPV LV also explained how he envisioned the abandonment of the coalition council. Political power in this area and in others must still be discussed in the party factions, said a politician.

Vejonis will be in Afghanistan on November 29, while the president intends to participate Friday in several events in Riga.

Today, the second meeting of the talks on the construction of the government was organized. It examined the principles of inter-governmental co-operation, dispute settlement and internal and external communication.

The next meeting, which should also be devoted to these issues, is scheduled for Thursday, November 29 at the 13th faction "KPV LV".
