The activities of the LAF Cross-Commission last weekend were the Autocross Cup section of the Summer Folklore Cup and Cross Commission in Priekule, Ligo, as well as the departure of Latvian athletes from from the country.

Priekule debuts

The Priekule Ligo track made its debut on Saturday in the LAF race, hosting the second leg of the Focalis Summer Cup and the Red Cross Cross Cup. The debut was successful in honoring the riders with both the configuration of the track and the general sense of the race day.

Māris Zālītis (Valka), the winner of the 2018 Winter and Summer Cup, was the final leader in folklore. Stable driving and the exact moment when the Joker Circle was chosen allowed Maris to win the first victory this year. The Andras Tusken (Priekule) and Viestura Plettena (Riga) duels were formed during the autocross phase. Although Tusken started with a four-wheel drive car, Platten not only followed him, but also overtook a competitor. In the final, Pletten won third place after the failure of Joker's strategy, not only launching Tusken, but also Raik Ruiķis, a silversmith.

Tobias wins in Estonia

Latvian card leader Dāvis Tobibad won the cross-card clbad at the Supercross stage on the Laitsee track in Estonia, with a minimal overclocking of Carl Martin Milist, who dominated the day. Marta Starka also made her debut in the cross-card race. During the day, the rider learned the technique and the track, but the fight ended with a broken suspension in the third qualifying session.

Grandan failed at the beginning of the Baltic

In Lithuania, the first leg of the Baltic Autocross Buggy 1600 clbad took place on the Shaky track. Intars Grandan, the only representative of Latvia, won a spot on the honorary podium, but the downward suspension of the second of three qualities did not allow him to reach the final. However, in the final, Intar had to fight for the B final. But one of the engines being broken by a chain, Grandan was forced to retire. The bronze medal season of the Baltic countries of last year begins with the 13th place of the first stage.

At the same time of the Lithuanian Championship phase, Latvian athlete Jānis Kozlovskis juniors took second place in the Mini Buggy clbad. Jānis Veģeris was third at the Open 4500.
