The organizers of the "Latvian Car of the Year" contest announced on Monday evening seven finalist cars claiming the title of "Latvia 2019 Car of the Year", to be announced on the evening of 7 December.

This year, the competition of the 28 members of the jury had to be evaluated according to the 29 most recent competition models, representing different segments of the market – compact cars, sports, SUV, "premium", etc.

After evaluating all the entries, the competition jury selected the following cars (in alphabetical order): Ford Focus, Hyundai Kona, KIA Ceed, Mercedes-Benz Clbad A, SEAT Arona, Suzuki Swift and "Volkswagen T-Roc.
