Vāne and Strads – the best performers of the Valmiera Theater last season

The annual Theater Awards Ceremony was held at the Valmiera Theater, where the best artists and performances from the previous season were summarized. The winners were chosen both in the theater's internal theater and in the "Spectators Voice" survey, to which each visitor of the Valmiera Theater could participate.

In the Valmiera Theater's internal vote, without distinction between the roles of the first and second shots, Elina Vane and Elina Hanzena were recognized as the best actresses of last season, while Imants Strads and Ivo Martinsons were awarded the Best Actor Award . The title was awarded to Māra Vigante, Director of Performance.

Elīna Vāne received the "Actress of the Year" award for "Baladina" and Anna, Klavinsma and Ede "Vidzemnieki", while "Actress of the year in the background" was recognized by Ilze Pukinsky as the role of the Easter girl in the show "Vidzemnieki".

For the second year in a row, Imants Strads was titled "The Actor of the Year as a Premiere Actor", and this time, the audience enjoyed its fascinating expression in "The Lucy". In turn, in the nomination for "The Actor of the Second Plan", Ivo Martinson received the award from Mr. Anris for his performance "Eurydice". The voters' vote also defined last season's "Show of the Year", where the performance "Lucy" was performed by Elina Caira. It tells the story of the legendary director and actor, Peter Lewis, longtime director of the Valmiera Theater.

The winners were rewarded by the city of Valmiera. It should be noted that spectators were able to vote for their favorite artists and shows for the seventh year in a row and that all the winners received special awards from theater partner JSC "Valmieras piens"; friends and fans of the theater have also melted their favorites from last season. Spectators and laureates who attended the ceremony presided over by actor Martin Meyer and Māris Mennikas were welcomed by 2nd year students of Valmiera Theater of Latvia.
