The board also decided that Juris Stivriņš would also play the role of director of the Football School. Svitriņš will remain in this position until the end of the service test against the suspended school director, Nauri Mackevič.

On November 9, Eigim suspended Mackiewicz from his post until January 8. He replaces Vlasov, who has no experience in executive positions, in his appointment as spokesman for the game. His cause has not been officially proven.

Subsequently, the mayor of the city, Eigim, claimed that he had signed a decision of the city council temporarily canceling his order of appointment of Vlasov, but that members could not dismiss the director of the city. school because he was protected by the labor law.

Mackevič was suspected of having committed multiple financial irregularities. He was suspended for two months. In support of the dismissal of Mackeviča, the Municipality of Daugavpils explained that over the past two years, the Director's activities, as a result of the activities of the Daugavpils Municipality budget, may have caused material damage.

The parents of the schoolchildren and the trainers of the city in letters addressed to their council objected to the dismissal of the director of the school and also asked that the school be prevented by Vlasov. In their letter, the parents expressed their incomprehension and indignation at the activities of the council, refusing Mackiewicz, and stated that he had fulfilled his duties at the secondary level. Simultaneously with the dismissal of Mackiewicz, the chairman of the board, Eigim, signed a decree appointing Vlasov temporarily to his post.

The Daugavpils Football School was founded in 2016 as a vocational sports school "Football Center Daugavpils". This year, his name has been changed to Daugavpils Football School. Currently, 455 children are studying in 32 education and training groups.
