Laverne Cox is super impressed Lil Nas X is out, and she says that other well-placed gay hip-hop stars should follow suit.
We have Laverne and actress Angelica Ross Friday night at WeHo, after leaving Dalila, and at first, Laverne seems a bit confused … that Lil Nas X came out or simply insinuated that he was gay. Angelica explained and Laverne then explored how LNX handled it.
She also said … that there are closed hip-hop stars who are afraid to acknowledge their truth. She hopes that they will find the strength to follow in the footsteps of Lil Nas X, but only when they are ready.
