LB Jaylen Sneed, ranked 97th on ESPN 300, signs up for Notre Dame Fighting Irish

ESPN 300 linebacker Jaylen Sneed signed up for Notre Dame on Monday.

Sneed is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker from Hilton Head High School in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He is the hopeful ranked No.97 overall, according to ESPN, and chose Notre Dame over Oregon.

Sneed originally posted a top five from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, and had offers from some of the nation’s biggest programs including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, State of Florida, the Michigan and Texas, among others.

His commitment is important to the Irish, as it gives the coaching staff 10 ESPN 300 engagements in total in the recruiting class of 2022. It’s just behind Ohio State, with 11 ESPN 300 engagements.

Notre Dame’s 2022 scouting class is led by linebacker Niuafe Tuihalamaka, prospect No. 95 overall; need; quarterback Steven Angeli, who is the category number 6 quarterback for pocket passes; and 141st ranked offensive lineman Joey Tanona.

Staff added 17 total engagements from 14 different states.
