Leak and teasers reveal location and boss in Black Ops Cold War Zombies DLC 1

A combination of leaks and in-game teasers revealed what we might see in the first Cold War Zombies DLC.

Currently, the Dark Aether storyline in Black Ops Cold War Zombies only has one map, Die Maschine, which contains the classic Nacht Der Untoten map.

Fans are expecting new Zombies content in December, but it’s likely we won’t see a new Zombies map in Cold War Season 1, as the roadmap only mentioned the “ new modes ” for it. zombies rather than a new map.

Leaks have revealed that the next map will be set in Vietnam and will be called Firebase Z.

YouTube channel TheGamingRevolution has gathered all of the game’s leaks and teasers to make a prediction on what the next Zombies map will be.

Leaks

The first Cold War Zombies leaks revealed that the game would launch with Die Maschine and a map of Vietnam called Firebase Z. Firebase Z never arrived at launch, so it’s likely to be the next Zombies map added to the game. .

A document was found in the game’s files that further teases a Vietnam setting. This Russian report teases players will be taken to the Khe Sanh region of Vietnam.

Popular leak Tom henderson, aka Long Sensation, said we likely won’t see a new card until February at the earliest.

Vietnam location

The screens Weaver looks at in the Zombies intro cutscene show multiple locations – Vietnam, Russia, and Berlin.

In line with the leaks, a marker points to the actual combat base of Khe Sanh in South Vietnam. We visited this location, the SOG mission in the original Black Ops, which included a detailed map of the area that could be used as the basis for a new Zombies map.

The “Operation Fractured Jaw” campaign mission features another real location, Firebase Ripcord. Although we can see almost the entire base from the air, players did not have a chance to explore the base on foot.

However, a player uploaded a video of them exiting the mission and exploring the area. The textures are poor quality, but they found an interesting nod to the zombies. The sign for the Doctors’ Quarters is the same model used at Shi No Numa for the Richtofen Quarters.

As players were never supposed to see this sign, there is no apparent reason for it to be included. It could mean that they are turning this location into a zombie map. Firebase Ripcord could be used as the base for a Zombies version of Khe Sanh, or maybe players can visit both through a portal or the Dark Aether.

Boss fight

TheGamingRevolution has a theory on a potential boss fight for Firebase Z.

In the dark ether on Die Maschine, you can see ghostly apparitions of monkeys. These apes are similar to the zombie apes of Shangri-La, so they could make a comeback in the jungles of Vietnam.

Graffiti on Die Maschine also teases a potential boss. There is a painting of a gorilla wearing a helmet that resembles those worn by the Viet Cong. Outside the bunker, there is also a painting of the Cosmic Silverback boss from Dead Ops Arcade. These two images combined could tease another Gorilla-like boss for Firebase Z.

Additionally, by completing an Easter Egg in Die Maschine, players can encounter a large monster made of trees that players believe is an Elder God. It’s possible that this creature will return as a boss, similar to the tree monster in CoD Mobile’s Shi No Numa.
