A rendering leak of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 (see above) has been released, confirming what the smartwatch would look like. The allegedly official rendition, published on Android Titles earlier today, gives more credibility to the leak SamMobile pictures from a few weeks ago.
The watch features a round dial and looks like that of the power and home buttons on the right side just like the original Galaxy Watch Active.
There also seems to be a pinhole microphone on the right, presumably to make and receive calls. The original Galaxy Watch Active also had a microphone, placed elsewhere.
The Active 2 should be available in two sizes, 40 mm and 44 mm, while the original is available in size 40 mm. It is said that it supports leather and silicone straps, and that it exists in black, gold and silver. It is also planned to use the typical Samsung Tizen portable system rather than Wear OS.
Samsung released the original Galaxy Watch Active just a few months ago in February; Although we liked the material, the watch was finally disappointed by poor software and fitness tracking. Since the design of Watch Active 2 is apparently so similar to that of the original, we assume that Samsung has mainly worked on the software experience – that would be good news.
