Leaked name, location, vice-city, South America and more

GTA 6 is arguably the most anticipated game, and it hasn’t even been officially announced yet.

But we know it exists and various leaks have confirmed it.

GTA 6 Title

The Grand Theft Auto series has seen different naming structures for its titles.

From classic Grand Theft Auto V to slogans like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

The next title in the series has been rumored to be called Grand Theft Auto VI (CE) CITY.

Looking at the “Height Of Society” from GTA Online’s recent racing DLC, it shows a potential clue of the next game focusing around Florida and Mexico.

Miami is the city on which Vice City is based.

This is very similar to the 2002 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game, except with a clever play on the word “VICE”.

As most of us know VI stands for 6 in Roman numerals, this is also similar to how Capcom titled RE8, naming it Resident Evil VILLAGE, with VILL meant to stand for 8.

Until the game is officially announced, it will remain a rumor, but it is believed that the game will take place in Vice City, so it is possible.

The creator of the rumor could also have taken inspiration from RE8 when naming her.

South America

There are rumors that the game could feature several different cities.

The game is rumored to be set in Vice City, but also possibly somewhere in Mexico and a city based in Chicago.

Another rumor is a city based on Rio, instead of Mexico, but it is believed that a city based in South America will be featured.

All places are known for their large amount of drugs which are shipped and sold, so it seems if the rumors are true they might focus on the narcotics trade.

Release date

No official release date has been given for GTA 6, in fact the game hasn’t even been announced yet.

But according to Venture Beat, Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar’s parent company) plans to spend $ 89 million on marketing in 2023/2024.

This would indicate that the company will be looking to promote a massive game, such as Grand Theft Auto.

Ten years after the release of GTA V, it seems quite plausible.
