Sample photos and videos taken with a prototype Pixel 6 Pro offer a first look at camera upgrades coming to Google’s next phone.

This change is poised to give the Pixel 6 the biggest camera upgrade in the series outside of the annual software enhancements. That said, so far we haven’t had any benchmarks for how good the Pixel 6’s camera is.

It’s important to remember that the camera samples we see here are taken from a preview version of the Pixel 6 Pro. Given these caveats, the images give us a reasonable glimpse into the Pixel 6 Pro’s photo and video capabilities in the hands of an average person, which in some ways is a more interesting test than a photographer’s snapshots. professional. In the video there are a few brief recordings from the Pixel 6 Pro’s camera, but unfortunately they’re all recorded at 1080p in portrait orientation, making it a bit harder to judge the true quality. We also take a closer look at the Pixel 6 Pro’s curved screen, which gives a better idea of the slope of the glass and how far the screen extends into the curve.
