MADRID, Nov. 29 (KUNA) – Real Madrid announced on Thursday that it will hold the final of the Libertadores Cup between River Plate and Boca Juniors at Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Dec. 9.
The club said in a statement posted on its website that the South American Confederation of Football (CONMEBOL) had chosen the fief of Real Madrid to host the Superclbadico, specifying that it would take place at 20:30 local time.
Moreover, Spanish television said that (Conmipol) and the Royal Spanish Football Federation had reached an agreement, stressing that it had been welcomed by the Spanish government.
He added that representatives of the Union (Conmipol) had been transferred to the Spanish government and the leadership of Real Madrid at the request of the latter at a meeting held Thursday at the headquarters of the Government of Madrid.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez welcomed his official account on the social network (Twitter) of the match in Spain, stressing that his country was ready to organize the event and to ensure security, especially thanks to his vast experience in this field.
The meeting was scheduled to take place Saturday in Argentina, but was postponed following the attack of River Plate supporters against the bus carrying Boca Juniors to the Monumental stadium, some of them having been injured. After the first leg, Umniah was followed by a draw (2-2) at La Bombonera (La Bombunaira).
