The World Health Organization (WHO) has vaccinated more than 1,300 people who may have contracted Ebola in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The one-year Ebola epidemic in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo has left at least 1,800 dead, while militia violence and the refusal of local populations to intervene have hampered efforts to contain the virus.
Goma has been on high alert for seven days after a goldmine infected a large number of people before his death.
No new confirmed cases have been reported in Goma since the last report of the WHO, August 2.
