Direct: A number of central banks around the world hold monetary policy meetings this week, as companies continue to announce their quarterly earnings and economic growth data in the UK.
Central bank collections
After the Federal Reserve decided to cut interest rates by 25 basis points at its last meeting, several central banks focused on the process of holding their monetary policy meeting this week.
In India, the central bank will hold its monetary policy meeting next Wednesday, pending a rate cut of 25 basis points.
On the same day, the central bank meets in New Zealand to discuss its monetary policy, pending a reduction in rates.
In Australia, the Bank will hold its monetary policy meeting on Thursday with interest rate stabilization forecasts, following a 25 basis point cut at the June and July meetings.
Data on economic growth in Britain
The UK reveals its economic growth data for the second quarter of this year on Friday.
Last week, the Bank of England reduced its forecast of economic growth for the current year and 2020 to 1.3%, against 1.5% and 1.6% previously.
In the first quarter of this year, gross domestic product grew by 0.5% on a quarterly basis and by 1.8% year-on-year.
Business results
A total of 62 S & P 500 companies reported their results this week.
These include Walt Disney, CBS and Trip Advisor.
Most companies have announced their results so far, such as Facebook, Amazon, Fabet, Apple, Twitter and General Motors.
