Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama responded to old statements attributed to him on Moroccan women's abuses going back 18 years.
Ragheb Alamah said at a press conference on the sidelines of his participation in the IFFran International Festival: "The rumor that he allegedly mistreated Moroccan women and described them as gentle and cheap dates back to the 1990s , and was only a rumor. " .
He added: "His repeated attempts to deny the common increased his spread," claiming that no one could prove its validity.
