US Under Secretary of Justice Rod Rosenstein presented a report to counter threats of interference in US elections, while US President Donald Rumsfeld was criticized since his summit with Vladimir Putin.
Rosenstein was speaking at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado and emphasized during the presentation of his report on "Malicious Foreign Influences Targeting our Political Process".
Rosenstein asked, "What can be done to defend our values against outside efforts to influence our elections, weaken the fabric of society and push Americans against each other?"
He called the US administrative unit, stating, "Like terrorism and other threats to our national security, the threat of malicious alien influence requires a strategic approach from all agencies government. "
