French court sentences 14 people for bomb attack on Dortmund bus

A French court on Tuesday sentenced a 14-year-old bus striker from Borussia Dortmund, Germany, to face Monaco in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

Sergey Venergold attacked the bus carrying the German club last April. This attack left two injured and the match was postponed until the next day.

Wienergold, 29, is an electrician of German-Russian origin.

When appearing in court, Feinergold said that he "wanted to scare the guest," adding that he "did not know that the explosives he was making would cause injury."

At the beginning of the year, Feinergold admitted that he had "deeply regretted" it.

The prosecutor requested life imprisonment, while the defense imposed a maximum sentence of imprisonment of ten years.

The Bundesliga club sank against Monaco in both matches.
