Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez was injured in the back of the thigh muscle during Thursday's game.
The club said on its website that doubts about Sanchez's participation in his match against Southampton on Saturday in the English Premier League after his injury.
He added that the Chilean striker, who missed the team that beat the Young Boys in the Champions League on Tuesday, "must be subjected to additional tests to determine its dangerousness."
Sanchez took part in two Premier League matches this month against Manchester City and Crystal Palace. He was last seen in the starting lineup of Juventus in the Champions League on 7 November.
United is seventh in the league with 21 points in 13 games before tomorrow's game.
British media reported Thursday that United had exercised its right to extend the survival of goalkeeper David De Chaya for another year, as negotiations continued to reach an agreement.
