English coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Senegalese Sadio Mani would not be able to play against Burnley in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old Senegalese striker suffered a cut injury that required several stitches to impose 1-0 on Everton last Sunday in the Merseyside derby.
He was fine and moved with an open shoe, but he would not play the game with an open shoe, "Klub told reporters.
He added: "This means that, until now, is not ready to participate in the game, but we will see later," according to the British newspaper "The Independent".
Klub will have to find two alternatives for Mani and Scot Andy Robertson, who is also suffering from a leg problem.
"Robertson's case is not as bad as Manny's, but we need to follow up," he said.
Liverpool is second with 36 points in 14 games, while Burnley is second with nine points.
