LONDON (Reuters) – The commander lost a mechanical malfunction of the tail rotor system, British investigators said Thursday in the helicopter crash of Leicester City owner Vicki Srivadhanapraba.

Sixty-year-old businessman Vickay and four other people died when his helicopter crashed on Oct. 27 in front of King Power Stadium after a Premier League game.

The British aviation accident agency said in a statement Monday that a steering wheel pedal had broken the tail of the plane, resulting in a loss of control of the aircraft.

The investigation will continue to identify other factors that may have caused the incident, the statement said.

In eight years of acquiring the club by Vickay, Leicester has achieved one of the biggest surprises when he won the Premier League title in 2016.
