An international spacecraft carrying more than 2,500 kilograms of supplies, including Christmas presents, arrived on Sunday at the International Space Station.
NASA astronaut Alexander Gerst and US aeronautical engineer Serena Onion Chancelar used the robotic arm located on the surface of the space station to capture the "Dragon's" capsule as they flew over the Papua New Guinea. The status of the cargo carried by the cargo ship was completed in a matter of hours and is currently parked alongside five other ships at the station.
SpaceX launched Wednesday the unmanned Dragon from Florida. NASA stated that the vessel was in charge of equipment and supplies for research, would provide support to the crew, help maintain the station and perform dozens of inspections. The cargo also includes Christmas presents, the International Space Station (ISS) announced in a tweet on Twitter.
