"K" reveals the date of the announcement of the host of the Africa Cup 2019

Malagasy President Ahmed of the African Football Confederation (CAF) announced that the country hosting the 2019 Nations Africa Cup will be announced after the withdrawal of the Cameroon tournament on November 30th.

Ahmed Ahmed said Monday in statements to the Agence France Presse that the date of January 9 was that of the declaration of the host country of African nations 2019. The President of the African Union, which the latter will announce during of its meeting in Dakar, the Senegalese capital, host country after the meeting of its executive bureau.

Ahmed Ahmed also said that next Friday would be the last day of the deadline for submitting nominations, before the release of a list of mini-candidate countries on Dec. 25.

"Two or three countries have asked for a specification, including South Africa," Ahmed Ahmed said. "We received two or three messages to express our interest in the organization of the contest.

The African Union decided at its last meeting in Accra, capital of Ghana, in parallel with the withdrawal of the tournament of 2019 from Cameroon, to change the hosts of the following tournaments and proposed to award 2021 to Cameroon instead of Ivory Coast, and gave the latter the honor of organizing the championship in 2023 in place of Guinea, except that the president of "K" revealed to "AFP" that the 2021 tournament would take place in Cameroon instead of Côte d 'Ivoire.

"In 2021, Cameroon will be ready to host the tournament and in 2023, we will organize the tournament in Côte d 'Ivoire," he said. Adopted by the Executive Board of the African Football Confederation at its last meeting in Accra, it continues: "I have spoken with the President of the Cameroonian State and I have received a letter from the latter confirming my willingness to organize the version of 2021. "

Morocco has expressed a desire to host the 2019 tournament, while Congo-Brazzaville, which has officially nominated, and South Africa are competing, though all indicators suggest the favor of the tournament. Morocco, which is preparing to submit its candidacy in the next hours.
