Michel Sidi Bie, head of the United Nations Program on HIV / AIDS (UNAIDS), announced Thursday his resignation from office on Thursday after an investigation revealed that he had given way to harbadment, including including badual abuse, to the UN agency in charge of the fight against HIV and HIV Human Rights.

The UN official, of Malian origin, told the UNAIDS board of directors that the next board meeting in June would be his last meeting, while his term was to last until 2020.
