5 Arab players are named for the title of African player of the year 2018

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced today, through its official Twitter account, the final list of players nominated for the African Player Award of the year 2018.

The list included 10 players, Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, and fellow Waleed Sulaiman, the Egyptian of Al Ahly, the Moroccan Mehdi Benatia, the Juventus defender Riad Al Mehrez , Manchester City's Al Ittihad, Tunisia's Anis Al Badri of Hope, Alex Aleoubi of Arsenal, Andrei Onana's goalkeeper, Ajax of Amsterdam, Gabon Pierre Obamyong, Arsenal's top scorer, Senegalese player Sadio Mani of Liverpool and Ugandan Denis Onyango of South African Mamelodi Sun Downs.

CAF will announce the winner of the African player of the year at a ceremony in Dakar, the Senegalese capital, on January 8th.

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Salah is the winner of the award for the second consecutive time of his career, after his victory last year.
